What Can I do to Lose 20 lbs in a Month?
If your goal is to lose 20 lbs in a month than we’ve got to change a couple of things. First of all you must change your mind set and understand that you will achieve this goal no matter what. You’ve got to condition your mind to know that by a certain time you will be a different person. See the goal every morning in your head. What you look like, feel like, how you talk, everything.
If you want to be in great shape, you’ve got to think and live like someone who is in great shape. Just do it, it only takes you to realize how bad you want it, in order to change. You’ve got to change your eating, your mind, exercise habits to those of great health.
Water is essential, and is something that is very much overlooked when attempting to lose weight. You need to get your body to cycle out the toxins and bad stuff out of your system. Otherwise your body will not be so happy and hurt you for it. Your walls in the colon will clog up with disgusting toxins and your body will overall be poisoned. We wouldn’t like that not would we. Drink up to 16 glasses of water a day. 2 glasses an hour basically. If you are just starting then get to 8. That is only 1 cup per hour, if you cannot do this than just stop reading this right now.
Okay cool, it looks like you are still here so let’s carry on. You will also want to exercise at least 3 times a week with some good old resistance training. To get the most out of it, do compound exercises. These are exercises that use more than one muscle group. In order to get your metabolism to work hard, you will need to get as many muscles (preferably big ones) to work as much and hard as your body permits. Check with your physician before enduring in any physical plans of course.
Your legs, chest, and back are the big ones. This means that your favorite exercises in the gym should be squats, bench press or presses, and lateral pull downs. If you are home then squats, push ups, and pull ups. You should basically master these exercises. Think of that goal you made and keep on going 3 times a week. Stick to it and make it work.
You can also do cardio on the off days which are twice a week. I personally think cardio is a waste of time because one hour of treadmill running can be reversed with one bagel. This is why I stick to resistance training.
Eat balanced and you will be set to reach that goal of losing 20 lbs that month.
